Workshops
Workshops are intensive weekend classes. Up to 3 hours in length, they are designed to give you a helping hand when it comes to mastering the moves. With a restricted number of couples per workshop, the atmosphere is very relaxed and the teacher is able to spend time helping you to develop your style and technique. There are two types of workshops: Fast Track and Speciality. Workshops can be booked through our shop.
In addition, take a look at the Hunter Valley Cocktail Weekender. This is a full weekend of workshops where not only Modern Jive is taught but you may get a chance to learn other styles such as Salsa, Belly Dancing, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Cha Cha or Tango. Fast Track Workshops
Fast Track workshops are dynamic, intensive weekend workshops designed specifically to fast track new dancers to freestyle standard, giving a solid technical foundation of the basic moves with which you can develop a repertoire of more complex moves.
Fast Track workshops give you confidence and ability. They consist of a small group of dancers of similar ability who get personal attention from the teacher and their assistant. This leads to a positive, progressive learning environment where improvement is rapid.

Please ensure you arrive early so that you are ready to start on time. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended.
Speciality Workshops
Speciality workshops are intensive weekend workshops designed to add breadth and depth to your dancing. There are a mixture of workshops, some designed to increase your confidence with more complex moves, others to work on aerials or style.
Speciality workshops consist of a small group of dancers of similar ability who get personal attention from the teacher and their assistant. This leads to a positive, progressive learning environment where improvement is rapid.
Most of these workshops require a partner. If you don't have one, then fill in the partner request form and we'll do our best to find you a partner.
