| How Much Experience? |
A minimum of 30 Intermediate classes |
A minimum of 20 Intermediate classes and a partner you know very well. |
A minimum of 20 classes for both you and your partner at the level you wish to compete. |
| Is it for me? |
You know you can learn the dance moves taught in class, but something is missing... You're looking to fill in the gaps. |
You definitely need your own partner for this one as the moves are VERY close. Yes, it's a bit naughty but a great laugh. |
You know you are a good dancer but want to how you rate versus other dancers and at the same time learn about the skills you need to compete. |
| What will I learn? |
As it is taught over 3 weeks, each week you will tackle a different aspect of dancing. Your dancing will be videoed so you can see what others see in your dancing. Not only will your style improve as well as your interpretation of music, but you will have the chance of putting it into practice by choreographing a short piece of music (your choice). |
Some VERY close moves, some of which you will probably only do in the privacy of your own home. Your connection with your partner will be truly enhanced as you learn to move together in harmony. |
How to prepare yourself for competition, know what the judges are looking for, how to structure your training and make it work on the day. |
| What are the Benefits? |
You will be able to understand what your style is and how to enhance it and to do so by interpretation of the music. |
This is the most fun workshop you will ever do. You won't hear as much laughter in a workshop as you do in this one. |
During the workshop you will receive feedback from Judges that will be invaluable in helping you prepare for competition. |
| What next? |
Time to consolidate what you know. Keep up regular attendance at your venue and freestyle class. Then consider a Competition Skills workshop or completing anyFast Track workshops you have missed. |
Enjoy practicing! |
Read up on the rules of competition, what moves you can and cannot do. Understand the categories and work on some particular moves that you can use in the competition. Practice, practice, practice. |
