Modern Jive Dance Championships 2008

As usual, it will be a huge weekend of great dancing excitement, including all the social aspects of the championships as well.

Friday - Pre-Champs Evening

We hope you'll take part in this Welcome Dance Party, as it's a fantastically 'different' night to welcome all the Championship visitors from Australia, Interstate and overseas. Everyone is welcome to join in this night, whether you are entering the Championships or not, just come along and have a great time, make new friends and warm yourself up for Saturday.

The Bristol Arms Retro Hotel, is a five-storey building occupying a prime location on the edge of the CBD. Originally built in 1898, the Hotel has substantial floor space, including a street-front public bar, roof top terrace, gaming and bistro areas - totalling 7 bars!

You will also be able to do your championships pre-registration at this event from 7:30pm to 9pm, saving you time on the day of the competition.

Saturday - Championships

Saturday will bring a showcase of all that is 'glamour' in the world of modern jive competitive dancing in a fabulous club atmosphere in the auditorium of the North Sydney Leagues Club. This club is the historic home of Ceroc championships, and we hope you enjoy the club on the day.

The competition will start at approximately 2.30pm, with the first events being Dance With A Stranger Heats for Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Masters.

At various times during the championships and at the end of the events there will be opportunities for spectators to get up and dance
