Modern Jive Dance Championships 2009

As usual, it will be a huge weekend of great dancing excitement, including all the social aspects of the championships as well.

Friday 11 September - Pre-Champs Evening

We hope you'll take part in this Welcome Dance Party, as it's a fantastically 'different' night to welcome all the Championship visitors from Australia, Interstate and overseas. Everyone is welcome to join in this night, whether you are entering the Championships or not, just come along and have a great time, make new friends and warm yourself up for the weekend ahead.

Cost: $10pp entry & half price for interstate & overseas guests

Bexley RSL Club is a popular venue with our southern dancers, with a large dance floor allowing for plenty of freestyle dancing

Saturday 12 September - Championships

Saturday will bring a showcase of all that is 'glamour' in the world of modern jive competitive dancing in a fabulous club atmosphere in the auditorium of the North Sydney Leagues Club. This club is the historic home of Ceroc championships, and we hope you enjoy the club on the day.

The competition will start at approximately 12.30pm, with the first events being Dance With A Stranger Heats.

At various times during the championships and at the end of the events there will be opportunities for spectators to get up and dance.

This venue has licensed bars, plenty of food outlets, air-conditioning and parking

Sunday 13 September - Workshops & Tea-Dance

Ceroc championships are always inspiring, so we will be running a day of workshops on the Sunday following the event (4 workshops in total) from 12 - 4pm at Bexley RSL. Each workshop will be approximately 45 mins long. We have invited Masters dancers and interstate Company owners to share their expertise. The workshops will encompass special moves, musicality, style and connection.

To cap off the weekend, following the workshops we will be holding a Tea-Dance from 4pm - 6pm at Bexley RSL, where you will be able to practice the techniques and moves learnt earlier in the day.

Cost for all 4 Workshops and Tea-Dance will be $50pp.

Cost for one workshop only and Tea-Dance will be $25pp.

Cost for Tea-Dance only will be $7.00pp
