Modern Jive Dance Championships 2012

Our highly anticipated Champs Competition is being held again this year, on 8 September.

Entries close on 17 August.   (Late fee applies after 17 August).

Every year in September, Ceroc Australia Dance Company hosts the Modern Jive Dance Championships, a showcase of all that is 'glamour' in the world of modern jive competitive dancing.

Competitors at all levels of modern jive, from almost raw beginner to the very best of dance masters compete to take the Australian titles. These Championships are open to competitors from all over the world.

As well as the competitive element, the Championships day is also a fabulous spectator event for competitor supporters, friends, family as well as regular dance enthusiasts. Starting at 1:00pm and running through 'til late, the North Sydney Leagues Club provides us with fabulous supporting amenities and numerous bars, bistros and restaurants.

There will also be plenty of time for freestyle dancing on the day.

This year's competition will be held on Saturday 8 September 2012.

This year the Championship weekend will start on the Friday night with a Dance Party where competitors can register, saving them time on the big day. The Saturday Championships start at approximately 1pm going through til late. There will also be workshops on the Sunday afternoon follwed by a Dance Party, making a full weekend of dance.

Showcase Event 2012 - Incorporating the People's Choice Prize

Due to past years' judging success we will again have the Showcase Event judged by both the official judges and the audience. So, competitors have the chance to win two prizes - the Judges' Prize and the People's Choice Prize.
