DWAS Intermediate
Open to dancers with the following experience
- been dancing for more than 1 year
- placed 1st in a Beginner or above category at a recognised national competition prior to the effective date
You are excluded from this category if any of the following apply:
- placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an Intermediate or above category at a recognised national competition prior to the effective date
- previously competed at a higher level
Lowest entry level appropriate for:
- Dance teachers of any style of dance experience (excluding mainstream Modern Jive teachers)
Music:
- Sufficient music to enable you to dance with a variety of partners. Minimum of 2 minutes
Aerials: (see notes)
- Not allowed
Format:
- You will be required to change partners during the event and will be judged individually rather than as a couple

The 2008 Championships were held on 27th September at:
North Sydney Leagues Club
12 - 20 Abbott Street, Cammeray
