Social Events

Every Ceroc dance class is a social event with approx 1.5 hours of freestyle time to dance and chat in addition to the two formal classes.

Dance Parties

Dance Parties are a fun social event where you can practice the moves you've been learning at your Ceroc Classes, and to catch up with dancers from your regular venues. Usually held on Saturday nights, and occasionally on Sunday nights over long weekends, Dance Parties are a great way for friends, singles, and beginner dancers to become part of the Ceroc family. Everyone's welcome. For just $15pp entry, you'll get an introductory Beginner Class at the start of the night, followed by hours of freestyle time to ask your fellow dancers for a spin on the floor. Then there's also the Close Moves that are taught later in the evening - a bit of extra fun for everyone! Sometimes during the evening you'll see a performance of a popular dance routine or a demonstration of another dance style. Upcoming Dance Parties.

Annual Winter Ceroc Ball

This is the glamour event of the year, where everyone gets to dress in their finery to enjoy a champagne reception followed by sumptuous 3-course silver service meal. All this with dancing and there's a fabulous floorshow as well. Over 500 people attend this event every year. See the events calendar for dates.

Annual Modern Jive Dance Championships

One of the few chances to get competitive in the world of Ceroc is at the Ceroc Australia Open Modern Jive Championship held in Sydney in September/October each year. Open to Beginners through to Masters levels the competition is not only fun to enter, but great to watch. There's a couple of light hearted events as well as the serious competition, so you can attend either as a competitor or as a spectator. Visit the Championship website for more info.

Ceroc "Cocktail" Weekender

Held each year around March/April in the picturesque Hunter Valley, this weekend is actually a weekend of workshops to improve your dancing. You stay at the fabulous 5 Star Cypress Lakes Resort and attend dance workshops at Lindemans Winery. Set in such a beautiful location it becomes a weekend of social activities with people taking advantage of visiting a winery, sunning themselves beside a pool or taking a massage to ease their tired legs. A variety of workshops are taught by local, interstate and international teachers and you can attend as many or as few as suits you. It's a great weekend and always a sell out. Sydney Dance Camp

Held at the Ceroc Central venue in Ashfield with its huge main dance floor and 2 other rooms for dancing and workshops, this is a weekend event not to be missed. There are workshops to suit dancers of all levels from some of your favourite, and some new, teachers. It includes a special program for beginners as well as people who have never danced before. Christmas Party

Each year Ceroc Australia Dance Company holds a special Dance Party to celebrate Christmas. Dressing up in Christmas colours or costumes is definitely encouraged. Finger food is available and included in the entry price so bookings for this party are essential. As usual there will be dancing 'til around 12:30pm and also a floorshow for your entertainment. New Year's Eve Party

We all love to welcome the New Year in with style - Ceroc style! This is also a party for everyone including family and friends and goes until the wee small hours (around 2:00am). Bookings are essential for this party, as late hot nibbles will be served to keep up your energy so you can dance, dance, dance! No need to tell you the date but watch the events calendar for the location of this year's New Year's Eve Party.
